Rocamadour and the Dordogne Valley
The Amadour Hotel is a residence situated in the heights of Rocamadour, a medieval village in the Lot department, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This village, nestled on the cliff side and overlooking the Alzou canyon, will transport you back through the ages.The 12th-century sanctuaries and Notre Dame chapel, some of the pilgrimage shrines in the Midi-Pyrénées region, are well worth a visit and just a short walk away from the hotel, as is the Rocamadour Château, its fortifications and its ruins, which date back to the 14th century.

Make the most of your stay here to visit Figeac and its Champollion Museum and beautiful Castles. The Pech Merle caves and "Grotte des Merveilles" guarantee visitors an astonishing journey through prehistoric times.
